Calcaneus fracture with loss of Bohler's angle


History and Physical Exam

The clinician should be especially suspicious for calcaneal fracture:

  • if there is a fall or jump from a height
  • if there is pain upon squeezing the heel
  • if there is ecchymosis that tracks distally to the sole of the foot (the Mondor sign).

Patients will be unable to bear weight.
