Management depends on the location of the fracture: intertrochanteric, subtrochanteric, femoral neck, and pubic ramus fractures are managed differently. Orthopedics should be involved early to guide management, except in ramus fractures, which are typically managed with analgesia and allowed to bear weight as tolerated.
