Patella Dislocation
Background
Most patella dislocations are lateral. They often occur in those with previous dislocations, valgus gait, or weak vastus medialis muscle. Females in their 20s and 30s are the most common cases. The majority of patella dislocations reduce spontaneously. However, if the patient presents dislocated, rapid reduction is indicated.
